Biography:

Dr. Nathan Fergus is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. He completed his residencies at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Boonshoft School of Medicine, Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.

Dr. Fergus comes from a very large family, and has an uncle who has been an Internist and Allergist/Immunologist in Augusta, GA, for around 50 years.  Growing up, Dr. Fergus always admired his uncle because of his desire to do everything he could to comfort anyone who was sick or in pain.  Dr. Fergus wanted to grow up to be a guy who others would seek when in pain or in trouble, just like his uncle.

Throughout his training, Dr. Fergus completed a Pediatric residency in Charlotte, NC, after graduating from medical school.  While trying to find a subspecialty in that residency, he completed a rotation with the Pediatric Radiologists and “found his calling.”  Dr. Fergus enjoys the daily challenge of helping referring physicians (and therefore their patients) expand or narrow differential diagnoses.  He also enjoys the constant studying that Radiology demands as well as the interventional procedures.

"The most rewarding thing about my job is when I can make a patient or colleague smile or laugh.  I believe what matters most is helping more people smile than frown."

In his free time, Dr. Fergus enjoys fitness and nutrition.  He is a fan of Tony Horton and his P90X programs.  He and his wife also enjoy searching for and finding great restaurants.
