We’re pleased to announce that SouthCoast Health’s Dr. Nizar Eskandar has opened up a nephrology clinic in Baxley, Georgia. Dr. Eskandar’s 11-year experience in SouthCoast Health’s nephrology department and his passion to help patients in this particular specialty make this an exciting new move for our practice.
“I believe rural communities are thriving and deserve access to quality care. Rural Americans are less likely to seek medical care due to geographic location. Statistical analysis shows that rural Americans tend to be less healthy than urban counterparts,” Dr. Eskandar said. “I love medicine and my goal is to reach out to those in need, and it is gratifying for me as a physician to know that I can make a change for the disparities of rural communities.”
The Nephrology department at SouthCoast Health provides a multi-disciplinary approach to the prevention and management of diseases of the kidney and urinary system disease and hypertension.
